Good emulation of color model. I think you could match your visual model better if you have a more creative display of time. In your models, they use different objects like tickets or boat, and find a way to creatively add data on them. Because of this I'd lean towards the first one. They also have repeating objects all throughout the visual model. Make sure the lines (like on the question mark and Q) are well curved too.

According to this feedback, I revised the emulation by making the lines more curve, and adding more details for the icons so it could match better with the visual language model.

In the first version, the icons are getting higher and higher. It feels like there is some meaning of the y axis. Compare to the first version, the second one gives more information. Maybe think about what text should go to the boxes at bottom. Instead dates, maybe phases would help.

According to this feedback, I added more information to the first version so that it maintains details. I did not change the "y axis" because I want the emulation follow the visual language model.

First version could be edited up a little bit to match the visual model more as the designs on the model are more rounded and detailed while in this one there are a lot of edges and its more simple. You use the magnifying icon twice once for searching for something and another for scoping down onto a topic, this could be confusing since its same image  different messages. In your 2nd image the color throws me off a little bit and could be edited to emulate color model better, as the design is more darker heavy while the color model is more predominately lighter. What you could do is change the boxes to variations of the blue but with different shades if that looks better. What I feel would like best though is i you combined the designs and used the first design as labels for the 2nd design.

According to this feedback, firstly, I added more details on for the icons and make the lines more rounded. Also, I added labels and text to convey more information. I changed the icon of the usability test so that I do not use the magnifying icon twice.

I like the improvement on the icons. They all emulated your color model really well. For the last icon in the usability test section, the person is darker than the rest of the icons, maybe try to match that with the grey in the icon under "sketch &prototype". I also like the change for the timeline, it emualates your visual model well. The only thing I could think of for improvement is the text, it's a bit hard to read. I would either make the entire display bigger or reduce the amount of text.

Firstly, I changed the color of the last icon for usability test so that it match the dark gray in my color model. Also, I made the text larger so they are more visible.

The last icon for usability test has a very dark and solid color, which does not match the color model. Maybe use dark gray in color model would help. Also, the layout is confusing because the icons are getting higher and higher. The texts are not aligned well, so they do not look clean. The icon for prototype is very angular compare to other icons, maybe make it more rounded. Maybe try to follow the bottom right section in your visual language model.

Firstly, I changed the last icon to dark gray in order to match the color model. I also changed the layout to be horizontal without increasing height to eliminate confusion. I made the icon for sketch and prototype more rounded instead of angular to match with other icons.

Your revision emulates the visual model much better and it's much cleanner. One thing I notice in your visual language model is that it uses colors with big contrast for the explainations and titles(such as white vs brown?)You can try to play with different color for the words to make it more interesting. Another thing is on your visual language model, most words are left aligned,so it might be better to be consistent with your model and keep everything aligning to the left. Lastly,it might be better to keep the same format for each small section (including the icon, paragraph, and the title) so it is even more straightforward and readable.

I changed the layout firstly so that all small sections are aligned in a same way. I played around the color, but I decided not to change it in order to match with my color model. I also changed the text to be aligned to the left.

This emulation shows:

Timeline of the development process of out project, from forming team to the final deliverable.

How this element exploits the visual potential of relationships:

(1) Order of the icons and the axis at the bottom show the hierarchy of time (before and after, from left to right). Titles and body text explain each development phase.

(2) Icons related to each stage make the display more visually appealing and more understandable.

How this element emulates the models:

(1) To emulate my color model I picked the five colors from my color model, the dark grey, light grey, orange, green, and the pale green. I used pale green and orange alternatively in the timeline axis in order to make it easier to distinguish. I also used all colors from the color model on the icons as needed.

(2) To emulate my visual language model I made the icons all flat, using no shades, no rotating positions. I also used fill-in colors with no stroke as much as possible. I only used stroke when I have to show the outline. For example, I have to use stroke for the Prototype and Sketch part, because I have to show the inner content of the paper, like the lines and the pen.

(3) To emulate my typography model I used the same font "Arial Narrow" (bold). I used similar row length as my typography model, that each row contains only 3 words, which is very short.
